A film that I was privileged to be involved with,

A film that I was privileged to be involved with, filmed on the Whanganui awa, begins its cinema release in the Netherlands today.

Working alongside director Petr Lom and an international team I provided the aerial cinematography and 2nd camera during this Cinéma vérité style journey down the Whanganui river, the first river in the world recognized as a legal person.

I’m looking forward to reuniting with the crew and viewing the film together on the opening night of the upcoming @docedgefest in Aotearoa.

This is A23a, currently the largest iceberg on the

This is A23a, currently the largest iceberg on the planet, and after 30 years of being grounded in the Weddell Sea is now drifting north towards South Georgia. This massive tabular berg is 40 nautical miles long, up to 400 metres thick, covers 4000km2 and weighs just short of one trillion tonnes! Simply enormous. The iceberg is showing dramatic signs of erosion as it moves into warmer waters, combined with wave action from the large Southern Ocean swells.
